Miyoo Flip V2 is a popular retro handheld game console that supports a variety of classic game platforms. In order to make the device run more stably and unlock new features, the official will regularly release firmware updates. Why update the firmware?

Firmware update steps
1. Check the current firmware versionGo to device Settings → System Information to check the current firmware version.
If it shows 2024 or earlier, it is recommended to update to 2025.
2. Download the latest firmwareVisit the official firmware download website (if there is no official link, refer to the community recommendation source).
Select Firmware Download → Miyoo Flip (the second option).
Download the firmware package, usually 4 files will be obtained, but in fact only the following two need to be kept:Mayo355 folder/Mayo355-firmware image (image file)The rest of the files can be deleted.
3. Replace SD card files
Backup data: Insert the SD card into the computer and copy all important files (games, saves, etc.) to a safe location.
Delete old firmware: Remove the original firmware folder (such as Mayo355) in the SD card.
Copy the new firmware: Paste the downloaded Mayo355 folder and image file into the root directory of the SD card.
4. Complete the update
Insert the SD card back into Miyoo Flip V2 and turn it on. The system will automatically complete the update.
After the update is complete, enter System Information again to confirm that the version has changed to 2025.
Common problems and solutions after the update
1. RetroArch interface becomes Chinese?
Since the update may reset the language settings, you can adjust it according to the following steps:
Enter any game → Press the shortcut key to bring up the RetroArch menu.
Select the second tab (Settings) → Scroll to the bottom.
Click the "human icon" (user options) → the last option (Language).
Switch to English, return and save the configuration (to avoid resetting next time).
2. Bluetooth controller cannot connect?
Make sure the firmware has been updated to version 2025 (older firmware may not support some Bluetooth devices).
Try to re-pair the controller, or check the device compatibility list.
