The device features a stunning 2.8" IPS display with a resolution of 640 x 480, providing a sharp and vibrant visual experience. The screen's 4:3 aspect ratio enhances the authenticity of retro gaming. However, it is worth noting that the display may have a slightly washed-out glow, although this is hardly noticeable during gameplay.

 The handheld boasts a well-sized D-pad that delivers a satisfying gaming experience, particularly for fighting games. It is accompanied by four high gloss action buttons, featuring classic DMG colors, as well as a grey shell and start/select buttons. Additionally, a white variant with SNES-colored action buttons is available.

How is the gaming experience on Miyoo Mini?

The Miyoo Mini demonstrates impressive emulation capabilities across various consoles, including Gameboy, Mega Drive, Famicom, Neo Geo, Master System, and Wonderswan games.
 These games run smoothly without any notable issues on the handheld. However, slight hiccups were encountered when testing Playstation 1 and Gameboy Advance games. Gameboy Advance emulation displayed below-average frame rates, and saving games in GBA titles was not possible due to a potential firmware issue that may be addressed in future updates.

 

While the handheld performs decently with the best PS1 emulators, occasional crashes were observed during the review period. Despite these minor setbacks, the Miyoo Mini's overall emulation performance left a positive impression, even though there is room for improvement.
